The word that leaps out at you
Depending on the grid, 12, 14 and 15 hidden words, in all eight directions, forward and backward. Click the first letter, then the last — or slide your finger along the word.

How to play
With the keyboard: the arrow keys move, Enter marks the first letter, then the last, Esc cancels. With the mouse or your finger, two gestures work: two clicks — the start, then the end of the word — or a drag from start to end, without letting go.
What the grid guarantees
Every word on the list appears in the grid exactly once, counting all directions. This is not an intention: it is a check run on the three grids before they were placed here — we scan the eight directions from every square, we count, and a grid that would offer two paths to the same word is rejected.
Without this check, a word can appear twice by accident, and the player who found the “wrong” one ends up with one letter too many at the end.
